About

Hi, I’m Amie!

I have been covering the Los Angeles Dodgers as a writer and photographer since 2020, and recently joined the world of podcasting.

I also became a member of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) to deepen my knowledge about the sport. I am a die-hard fan and season ticket holder who loves keeping score while watching games at Chaves Ravine.

As a Latina who grew up in Southern California, I look forward to sharing my unique perspectives and opinions about Dodgers-related news as the season progresses.

Why I Write and Cover Baseball: Representation Matters.

I have covered the Dodgers since 2020 as a former writer for Think Blue LA. I got my podcast start as a contributor on the Bleed Los Podcast, before leaving to start and co-host my own show, Baseball Shangri-L.A.

I write and podcast because I think diversity in the sport is important in all aspects – on the field, as fans, and in the media. I am passionate about the Los Angeles Dodgers. Watching these players pour their heart and soul into this sport on and off the field is inspiring.

I am a big believer that baseball is a great unifier – it ties people together into a community across all demographics. Once the game starts, we are all rooting for our respective teams. This is why we get wrapped up in the telenovela that is baseball.
